Bihun Kicap

Ingredients

  • 400g vermicelli
  • 3-5 cloves garlic
  • 1 pack fish balls / cakes
  • 2 pieces chicken breast
  • 2-3 tbsp chilli paste
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 2 tbsp light soy sauce
  • 1 cube chicken stock
  • 1-2 tbsp sesame oil, optional
  • Sweet soy sauce, to taste
  • Thick caramel soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp white pepper powder
  • Mustard greens (Sawi)
  • Cabbage
  • Salt to taste
  • Spring onion
  • Red chilli

Instructions

  1. Rehydrate meehoon
  2. Stir-fry garlic until aromatic
  3. Add in chili paste
  4. Add in chicken
  5. Add in oyster sauce
  6. Add in fish balls
  7. Add in light and sweet soy sauces, white pepper, chicken boullion, mustard green stalks, sesame oil.
  8. Add in meehoon. If dry, add water.
  9. Add dark soy sauce.
  10. Add cabbage.
  11. Add Mustard green leaves.
  12. Before serving, top with spring onions and red chilli.
